Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Lecper (“Lecper”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Lecper desktop application and this product website (lecper.janmatl.com). Last updated 6 October 2026.

1. Who we are

Lecper is operated by Jan Mátl, located in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. Contact: jan.matl.web@gmail.com.

2. What Lecper is

Lecper is a desktop application that helps creators capture League of Legends gameplay with OBS, cut highlight montages on their own computer, and optionally publish finished videos to TikTok and/or YouTube. Core recording and cutting happen locally. Cloud services are used only when you enable integrations and authorize them.

3. Information we process

Depending on how you use Lecper, we may process:

  • Local gameplay and media — screen recordings, cut clips, thumbnails, job manifests, and related files stored on your device.
  • Game / match context — data from the local League client API and, when configured, Riot match-related APIs needed to detect highlights and enrich clips (for example summoner identity you configure, match timeline signals, and item/champion context).
  • TikTok account data — when you connect TikTok, Lecper uses Login Kit with scopes user.info.basic, video.publish. That includes basic profile identity needed to confirm the connected account, plus permission to publish videos you choose to upload.
  • OAuth tokens — TikTok (and optional YouTube) access/refresh tokens stored locally on your computer so the app can publish without asking you to sign in for every upload.
  • Configuration — local settings such as OBS connection details, output folders, privacy/visibility defaults, and feature flags.
  • Product website analytics — this website may use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page-view statistics. It is not used to build advertising profiles. See Vercel Web Analytics.
  • Support email — if you contact us, we receive the address and message content you send so we can respond.

4. How we use information

  • Operate the desktop capture, cut, review, and publish workflow you configure.
  • Authenticate to TikTok / YouTube on your behalf after you grant consent, and upload only the media your workflow selects.
  • Improve reliability of local processing (for example job status, retries, and debug artifacts you enable).
  • Respond to support, privacy, or review requests you send by email.
  • Measure aggregate traffic on this product website.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use TikTok data to build advertising audiences. We do not scrape TikTok content for unrelated purposes.

5. TikTok-specific disclosures

When you authorize Lecper with TikTok:

  • user.info.basic is used to identify the connected creator account.
  • video.publish is used to upload highlight videos that your Lecper configuration marks for publishing.
  • Tokens remain on your device under paths you configure (for example a local token file). They are not uploaded to Jan Mátl's servers as part of the standard desktop workflow.
  • Posted videos appear on TikTok under TikTok's own terms and privacy practices. Visibility defaults (for example private / self-only while an app is unaudited) follow TikTok platform rules and your Lecper settings.
  • You can revoke Lecper's access in your TikTok account / connected-apps settings, and by deleting local token files and disabling TikTok upload in config.

TikTok's handling of data on its platform is governed by TikTok's policies, including the TikTok Privacy Policy.

6. Sharing

We share information only as needed to operate the product:

  • TikTok — when you publish, video files and required posting metadata are sent to TikTok APIs.
  • Google / YouTube — only if you enable YouTube upload and authorize Google OAuth.
  • Riot / League services — when your configuration uses Riot APIs for match enrichment.
  • Hosting / analytics — this website is hosted on infrastructure such as Vercel, which may process standard request logs and analytics events.
  • Legal — if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or integrity of the service.

7. Retention

Local recordings, clips, tokens, and config files remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall / clear the app data. Support emails are retained as long as needed to handle your request and ordinary business records. Website analytics are kept in aggregate form according to the analytics provider's retention practices.

8. Security

You are responsible for protecting access to your computer, OBS, local token files, and API keys. Keep client secrets and refresh tokens out of public repositories. No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure; use strong device authentication and revoke tokens if you suspect misuse.

9. Children

Lecper is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital consent age in your country). Do not use the product if you are under that age. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it from systems we control.

10. International users and GDPR

If you are in the EEA/UK, the legal bases for processing typically include performance of a contract (providing the desktop product you chose to run), legitimate interests (securing and understanding aggregate website traffic), and consent (TikTok / YouTube OAuth authorizations you grant). You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Email jan.matl.web@gmail.com to exercise rights regarding data we control. For data held only on your device, delete the local files directly.

11. Third-party services

League of Legends, OBS Studio, TikTok, YouTube/Google, Riot Games, and hosting providers are independent services with their own terms and privacy policies. Lecper is not endorsed by Riot Games or TikTok.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Lecper or this website after an update means you accept the revised policy where permitted by law.
